HOW WEIRD STREET FAIRE
April 23rd, 2000
10am - 6pm

PRESS RELEASE

Volunteering the day of the Faire
If you are interested in the strike and disassembly of this event, just arrive at 1559 Howard Street at 7:30 am and talk to Sevon Wright or Randy Cone. They can both be reached at: 415-552-5545. Any event specialists with experience should call the previous number.

Karma Police
We need 20-25 security people to monitor the festival and wear specially marked shirts. This position is unique, mainly because all "Karma Police" must profess a profound belief in resolving conflict without violence. San Francisco police will be on hand throughout the faire, and if only absolutely necessary will they be called to make arrests at the security's recommendation. Contact Ian at 415-759-9782 or the weird office at 415-552-3628. Experienced and compassionate people only.

Performers
Street performers and exhibitionists are encouraged at the "How Weird Street Faire." Dress up in a costume and receive a $3 discount at the gate after 12 noon. Like Burning Man, we suggest "No Spectators."

Artists
There will be an art party at CCC on Thursday, 4/20 @ 1559 Howard Street. 7:00 PM -- the theme, of course, is Easter Sunday -- Easter bunnies, Easter Island heads, or the ubiquitous eggs. Get creative and weird with the Easter theme, but please, let's give Christ a break. Feel free to produce art in your home and bring it to the faire.
